Boil 1 lb. of macaroni (I use elbow) in salt water and pour cold water over it as it drains.

Preheat oven to 350.

Melt in saucepan 1 lb. of sliced American cheese together with 1 ½ cups of milk and a pinch of pepper, and cook until cheese melts. Stir often in order to make sure that it does not burn. Once melted add a Tbsp of butter and blend in as it is melting.

Mix cheese mixture with noodles and pour into a greased casserole dish. Sprinkle with paprika.  Dot with little pieces of butter and pour milk into dish so that is almost reaches the top of the noodle mixture.

Bake for 45 minutes.  Should be crisp on top.
