Bruriah’s ‘Jerusalem Is Mine’ Plays to Capacity Crowds

In back to back evening performances, Bruriah’s “Jerusalem Is Mine” played to full houses, filling the renowned Bruriah Ballroom to capacity for two nights running.

On Sunday evening, the school held its annual Mother-Daughter run of the school production, which involved the entire school in an effort that allowed every single student to shine in their own way. From acting, choir, narration and dance to costume and set design, lighting, sound, multimedia and production, every girl had a role. On Monday evening, an encore performance was held for siblings, friends and the female public.

“Jerusalem Is Mine” wove a series of theatrical vignettes that explored different personalities and their experiences visiting and living in Yerushalayim, and included moments of humor as well as inspiration and even emotion.

Led by Director of Student Life Mrs. Aliza Blumenthal, the annual production was a masterful achievement of student collaboration, creativity, skill and hard work.

Celebrating Jerusalem was especially meaningful in this year of yovel—the 50th year of the reunification of the city of Jerusalem under Jewish sovereignty.
