This week’s spotlight game takes us to Yeshivat Ben Porat Yosef. While some were getting ready for the NBA All Star Game in new Orleans, Team Jewish Link of New Jersey matched up with Approved Funding in an epic showdown of great teams.
The Jewish Link of New Jersey’s Max Leibenstern got the game started, hitting the game’s first two field goals while Approved Funding was having a tough time getting the ball in the cylinder. At the end of the first quarter, Jewish Link was up 6-3. In the second quarter, Approved Funding’s Jeremy Weiss came out shooting, netting two three pointers. When the second buzzer sounded, The Jewish Link’s lead was trimmed to three, 17-14.
The second half was a battle of big men. Approved Funding’s Avraham Glatter dropped 18 of his team high 20 points and The Jewish Link’s Noam Kinderlehrer answered back with 19 of his game high 23 points to lead his team to victory.
