MTA JV Hockey Captures First Win

The MTA Lions recently hosted the Hillel Heat for the second meeting between the two teams. Hillel took the first game 3-1, while MTA was still looking for its first win of the season.

Teaneck Baseball 10U Fall Travel Team Finishes 4-4 in Challenging Division

In the Fall PBI Baseball League Tournament, the 10U Teaneck travel baseball (TBO) team finished in fifth place out of 10 teams. TBO proved they could hold their own in a highly skilled and competitive All-Star league division outscoring opponents 59 to 55 in total runs and defeating two of the top-four ranked teams.

The Bruriah Lightning entered their home opener against Ilan, hoping to continue their undefeated season. It was a physical back and forth game with many ties and lead changes. To the dismay of the home crowd, Ilan held on to its lead in the 4th quarter and beat Bruriah 30-27.

November 20th faced with the always-tough test of traveling to Ramaz and playing the JV Rams in close quarters in front of a vociferous crowd, the Frisch JV Cougars did what any self-respecting Manhattanite would do: they took the A-Train.

SAR JV Girls Volleyball vs. Kushner

November 18th, 2013—The SAR JV Girls Volleyball Team continued its perfect season with a straight set (21-9, 21-15) victory over Kushner. Jen Goldsmith and Eva Spier helped the Lady Sting take the first set by each serving six times. The second set was tighter, but Goldsmith came through yet again with nine straight serves and three aces. Freshman Aliza Schneider

SAR Varsity B-Ball Beats Kushner

November 14, 2013—In a back and forth game, the Sting took home a victory over Kushner, with a final score of 57-46.

The first quarter was a bit slow for SAR, but it still managed to keep the game close. In the second quarter, SAR put on a surge, taking an eight point lead into the half. The third quarter saw Kushner cut the lead, led by swing man

SAR Varsity Boys Hockey vs. Rambam

SAR dominated the Rambam Ravens, winning by a final of 5-1.

The game was owned by The Sting from start to finish. Sam Schwalbe scored twice, Safdeye once, Jack Scwalbe once, and Seffi Jonas put in one as well.  Coming off of a tough loss against TABC, the SAR fans were thrilled to see SAR get back to its winning ways and get a big win.
