Dr. Mor Zilberstein Opens Family Medicine Practice in Englewood

Dr. Lara Mor Zilberstein has opened North Bergen Family Medicine, LLC, a new family medicine practice, 15 Engle Street, Suite 305, Englewood, NJ 07631. The doctor, who is affiliated with Englewood Hospital Medical Center, will focus on preventive medicine, care of chronic diseases, and patient education.

“With today’s medical progress, many diseases can be prevented or detected early when it is easier to treat and follow them,” she said. “I have a strong interest in cancer prevention as well as prevention and control of diabetes, HTN (hypertension), osteoporosis, and other chronic diseases.”

Before opening her own practice, Dr. Mor Zilberstein, held an academic position with the Department of Family Medicine at the Brooklyn Hospital Center where she saw patients and taught residents. She was also Assistant Professor of Family Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College, New York.

Dr. Mor Zilberstein became board certified in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine in 2007. She received her M.D. from Sackler School of Medicine in Tel Aviv in 2000 and completed her residency in Family Medicine at JFK Medical Center, Edison, NJ. In her last year of residency, she was elected Chief Resident and was awarded the residency Excellence Award.

As a provider for Medicare and most commercial insurance plans, her North Bergen Family Medicine practice accepts patients ages 13 and up. Dr. Mor Zilberstein accepts patients for sick visits, checkups, blood tests, immunizations, as well as GYN visits.

Dr. Mor Zilberstein lives in Cresskill, N.J., with her husband, rheumatologist and New York University research scientist Dr. Adam Mor, and their four children. Besides English, Dr. Mor Zilberstein speaks Hebrew and Romanian. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Medicine, the New Jersey Academy of Family Physicians, and the Cresskill Board of Health.
