Think Positive! Giving “Hope” A Better Name

“Positive thinking and changing one’s perspective have deep sources within Torah,” says Chaya Hinda Allen, program developer of Think Positive!

Designed for women as a life-changing inspirational and empowering series on how to face the pressures, challenges, and negative emotions in their everyday life, Think Positive! blends Torah sources with true personal experiences, practical guidance, and guided imagery to bring participants closer to Hashem and a positive lifestyle. Over 1,000 women already have experienced positive changes through this program.

Hope in our generation is like a four-letter word. It’s like a bad word because hope is usually associated with “dashed” hopes. We don’t want to hope too much because we’re going to be disappointed. It’s better to hedge your bets, like kind of wonder maybe it will work out, but not to expect too much–not to really hope. Because getting your hopes up means they’re going right down again,” explains Allen.

Allen believes that her job is to try to give “hope” a better name. “That’s what I try to do,” she says, “help women take the risk of putting a little more hope in their daily lives. Our program is about learning how to develop trust in Hashem through which we can foster the positive feelings of happiness, hope, forgiveness, generosity of spirit, self-esteem, and many other positive emotions.”

The 20-week, 40-hour teleconference is presented live on Mondays from 1:30-3 pm EST, starting September 8. Each class is recorded to hear by phone, email, and in a download MP3 version. Personal contact with Allen by phone and email are part of the program.

Cost is $396 until September 1 and then full price, $446. Monthly installments are available. If you would like to speak to someone who has taken this program, call Sandy Trencher at 860.233.1004.
