Discover street art in Brooklyn with acclaimed tour guide Ronnit Vasserman on a special trip offered by the Adult Department at the Kaplen JCC on the Palisades—Greenpoint Art Excursion: North Brooklyn Renaissance, on Monday, May 13, 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Greenpoint is one of Brooklyn’s hottest neighborhoods. Participants will spend a few hours with Ronnit to explore the Greenpoint art scene and visit artist studios and galleries, and stop at some of the most talked about cafes and eateries, as well as a Rite Aid that still has some of the architectural elements of the movie theater that used to occupy the space. People will then lunch on their own; they can choose from a provided list of restaurants. The tour will be a rigorous walk at a brisk pace, so comfortable shoes are recommended.
