Jewish Family & Children’s Services Holds Annual Meeting

(Courtesy of JFCS) Jewish Family & Children’s Services of Northern NJ held its Annual Meeting on June 11 at Congregation Beth Sholom in Teaneck. JFCS Staff, Board members and honored guests came together to mingle, nosh and celebrate the Agency.

CEO Susan Greenbaum delivered a powerful message about courage and the many accomplishments achieved by the agency this year. President of the Board Debbie Harris inspired the audience with discussion of the JFCS strategic planning process and the future vision of the agency as it continues to build capacity.

Volunteers of the Year awards were also bestowed upon Iris Bornstein and Rich Feldman who have volunteered with JFCS for many years, delivering food for Kosher Meals-on-Wheels, helping Holocaust survivors, and leading the Ride to Fight Hunger bike committee. This year the JFCS Ride to Fight Hunger will take place on June 23rd. The Ride raises funds to support the Food Assistance programs at JFCS, including Kosher Meals-on-Wheels for isolated Seniors and Food Pantries in Teaneck and Fair Lawn for hungry families.

Jewish Family & Children’s Services of Northern New Jersey is a nonprofit organization providing a full range of integrated social services through licensed therapists for all the members of a family, including adults, children, teens and seniors.

Programs and services include Mental Health Counseling, Senior Care Management, Emergency Services including Food Pantries in Teaneck and Fair Lawn, Information and Referrals, Career, After-school and Support Group programs.
