County Clerk Hogan Salutes Officers of Charity Motorcycle Run

(Courtesy of Responders Run) Bergen County Clerk John S. Hogan has presented certificates of recognition to the officers of Responders Run, a motorcycle rally that raises funds for first responders and military seriously wounded or killed in the line of duty.

Responders Run raises funds through sponsorships from such organizations as the New York Football Giants, major corporations and businesses throughout the area as well as participation fees from motorcycle participants.

“John Hogan has always been a major supporter and constant presence in our efforts,” commented Bob Nesoff, Responders Run president. “John has always been a sponsor and a morale supporter of these efforts. He has always been present at the runs and offers encouragement.”

The run, which raised several thousand dollars, supports police, fire, EMTs and military support organizations such as the Special Operations Warrior Foundation that supports families of Green Berets, Navy SEALS, Marine Recon and other special operations units. It provides an annual grant to the military groups and has set aside funds for first responders. Grants to first responders or their families are made on a case-by-case basis.

Those receiving the recognition certificates from Hogan were Nesoff; Peter Rebsch, vice president; Howard Cohn, secretary; Dave Hurwitz, treasurer; and Eh Hill, special events chair.

Planning is underway for the 2019 Responders Run, and new and exciting itineraries and routes are being investigated.Country singer Kenny Curcio, who performed at the 2019 run, will be back to entertain again at the 2020 event.
