The Fair Lawn Jewish Center/Congregation B’nai Israel (FLJC/CBI) held a Chanukah story time at the Fair Lawn Public Library on Sunday afternoon, December 15. The packed room included children ages 2-8 along with their parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles.
Kayla Seigel-Laddy (Morah Kayla) shared a variety of age-appropriate Chanukah stories with the children while the group joined together to sing Chanukah favorites such as “Dreidel, Dreidel, Dreidel,” “Sivivon Sov Sov Sov” and the traditional prayers over the Chanukah candles. Children were treated to yummy cookies and chocolate gelt and all were given dreidels and special, designed coloring books created by the Fair Lawn Jewish Center/Congregation B’nai Israel.
The FLJC/CBI looks forward to partnering again with the Fair Lawn Library for special holiday storytime events for Purim, Passover and Rosh Hashanah. Those interested in learning more about the Fair Lawn Jewish Center/Congregation B’nai Israel should contact [email protected] Visit www.FLJC.com.
