iKeep is excited to announce that it is running its inaugural parent education event. iKeep is a student-initiated organization that is working toward a more spiritual Shabbat in the teenage community. This event will take place on Sunday, February 16, at 7 p.m. at TABC. This event is for parents in the Bergen County community, featuring renowned speaker Rabbi Mordechai Becher and a panel of high school educators. Rabbi Mordechai Becher, originally from Australia, is an instructor in Jewish philosophy and history at Yeshiva University. He received his ordination from the Chief Rabbinate of Israel and the Chief Rabbi of Jerusalem and holds an MA in medieval Jewish history from the Bernard Revel Graduate School of Yeshiva University where he is currently a doctoral candidate. The goal of this event is to educate and inspire to reinstall the meaning in Shabbos that it deserves. The “iKeep Shabbat” box will be available for sale at this event.
