Over 80 people attended the open house for Cheder Yaldei Menachem preschool at the brand-new 5,500-ft-sq. building. Shterney Kanelsky, preschool director, led the evening, with speeches given by the mayor of Hillside Dahlia Vertreese; mayor of Elizabeth Christian Bollwage; Hillside Chief of Police Vincent Ricciardi; Hillside Fire Deputy Chief Douglas Ferrigno; Councilman Pateesh Freedman; and Elisha Jacobs from Springfield, who spoke as a parent alumnus of Cheder Yaldei Menachem.
