The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) for Union County, hosted by Jewish Family Service of Central NJ, and the JFS Family/Youth Volunteer Program, are seeking volunteers to plant, harvest and maintain the JFS Urban Community Vegetable Garden at the Jewish Family Service Halpern Building, 655 Westfield Avenue, Elizabeth.
Youth/Family Hours: Tuesday, 3:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m., Friday, 10 a.m.-11:30 p.m.
RSVP Volunteers 55+: Monday, 3:30 p.m.-5 p.m., Thursday, 9:30 a.m.-11 a.m.
The RSVP Program engages people 55+ to volunteer their services to meet critical community needs and provide a rewarding experience that will enrich the lives of volunteers. Volunteer opportunities also include packing and delivering emergency food packages, visiting homebound seniors, tutoring school-aged children, assisting with GED/ESL programs and much more. There are many additional benefits associated with becoming an RSVP volunteer.
