Jersey Job Fair: Finding the Solution

(Courtesy of Jersey Job Fair) There are so many people looking for a new job.

Emailing out resumes to a dead computer, website or software is so spirit-breaking. The unknown feels so huge to people, and they forget that at the other end of the resumes are just normal nice bosses, average people looking to hire nice, average, good other people. The unknown, faceless “opportunities” are scary and daunting.

But when there is an event where average people can stop in, get a coffee, shake hands and meet real people that are a little bald, a little overweight, a little annoying and fast-talking and little this and a little that, it makes tons of sense. “A picture is worth a thousand words”—seeing someone that might be your boss or might be your employee takes a lot of the fears and unknowns out of the job search.

Think about it.

Joining the Jersey Job Fair makes meeting your boss or employee so much more “the next step” rather than the scary “first step.”

The Jersey Job Fair is a place of opportunity to mingle in an atmosphere that screams, “hope.”

Ben Sofer and Yosef Saslow from Candibots.com are two young entrepreneurs who have joined The Business Roundtable, a digital network of large-scale business owners and private executives seeking to share resources and information. Together they will host an event to openly connect formerly out-of-reach employers with unlimited job candidates.

“An event like ours uniquely brings together real, available, live positions with job seekers, instantly taking a heavy percentage of the guesswork out of the process,” said Ben Sofer. “A resume is just styled wording that doesn’t allow for getting to know the person offering the skill set. At the Jersey Job Fair, instead of going through stacks of hard-copy resumes to comb out possible winners, employers will be sitting at booths engaging in face-to-face meetings with candidates. Who doesn’t know that a smile and a handshake is worth a thousand resumes?”

What’s unique about this job fair, in particular, is that we will be having out-of-town people from different cities, such as Jacksonville, Florida; Minneapolis; Cleveland; Dallas; etc. seeking to attract new families to join their communities. They will be presenting multiple job opportunities in their respective cities.

Additionally, many Northern Jersey companies will be joining to offer job opportunities in Newark, Linden, Union City etc.

There will be well over 100 open job opportunities “on the floor.”

Come join and see for yourself!

The Jersey Job Fair will take place on Wednesday, November 6, 3-7 p.m. at Eagle Ridge Country Club, 2 Augusta Blvd. in Lakewood, New Jersey.

To reserve a booth or register to attend call 732-778-6723 or email [email protected].

Free admission for job seekers.
