Dressed to Give: Unique Bracelet Honors Victims of Genocide

(Courtesy of I Remember & Company) In a remarkable fusion of fashion jewelry and philanthropy, I Remember & Company LLC has proudly launched their signature product: the I REMEMBER BRACELET™.

This unique piece of jewelry is now on the global fashion stage alongside similar bracelets from the ateliers of Cartier, Tiffany and David Yurman: products designed for a cause.

The I REMEMBER BRACELET™ was conceived by Bonnie Glogover, business innovator and entrepreneur, in memory of her beloved late father, Holocaust survivor Stanley (Szlamek) Jackson Glogover (1925 –2013). However, it was created to honor all victims and survivors of genocide worldwide, past and present.

Together with her business partner, Fifth Avenue jeweler Philip J. Weisner, (also a descendant of Holocaust survivors), she formed I Remember & Company LLC.

Increasingly, the fashion world (especially accessory lines easily rendered in jewelry) is reflecting critical issues of the day by using beautifully designed products to send important social messages.

“Made in precious metals, the I REMEMBER BRACELET™ honors my father’s wartime experiences,” said Bonnie, “But its greater purpose is to educate and shine a light on the plight of victims who are endangered by genocidal regimes globally. More than an accessory, the bracelet inspires loving memories and is designed to evoke curiosity and meaningful dialogue between the wearer and any observer.”

Weisner said, “My design interpretation for the bracelet is derived from the train tracks at Birkenau where thousands of prisoners representing many faiths and nationalities were selected to live or perish. The bracelet is a resonant symbol of defiance and hope.”

“Think of the bracelet as wearing history on your arm,” Bonnie commented. “We consider it a story-telling device that has a powerful tale to tell. It can also serve as a bridge between generations. Now jewelry aficionados can literally be dressed to give and look good while doing good!”

A percentage of all purchases of the I REMEMBER BRACELET will be donated to the USC Shoah Foundation. I Remember & Company LLC, will also be sending matching funds to a different human rights charity every month.

The I REMEMBER BRACELET collection is produced in silver, 18-carat yellow, rose and white gold, and platinum. The item is gender-neutral and is intended to be worn permanently to signify a journey of love and memory. The phrase “I REMEMBER” is inscribed on the inside, with space allowed to engrave the name of a loved one or a special anniversary date.
