KosherWine.com Debuts ‘Top 100 Wines of 2015’

What do Castel Petit Castel and Flam Blanc have in common? They are three of the 100 wines featured in a first-ever kosher wine top list produced by KosherWine.com, a subsidiary of The JCommerce Group.

The KosherWine.com team selected the most exciting wines of the year, from the thousands the site carries, to put together its “Top 100 Wines of 2015.” The selection prioritizes popularity (sales), quality (based on reviews) and value (based on price).

“These wines made the cut because the kosher consumer is increasingly become more educated about the wines they buy,” says KosherWine.com CEO David Perelman. “We found dozens of new and innovative wines among the thousands we tasted in 2015, and some outstanding wines that it’s no surprise to see here.”

Perelman continues: “The average customer is spending $3 more per bottle than they did one year ago. While some of this 20 percent increase could be attributed to an economic rebound, likely it is also a result of consumers developing more refined palates and interests in finer wines.”

Red wines were the most popular. When it comes to American wines, those wines that were harvested and produced in California and New York made the list.

The top list is not meant to be a shopping list, though it does offer plenty of suggestions. The list is available on KosherWine.com. The popular new blog TwoWarmChallahs.com also provides an interactive Pinterest board of the wines, which allows consumers to pin and comment on those wines they most prefer. http://www.twowarmchallahs.com/top-100-kosher-wines-of-2015
