TABC’s 17th annual post-finals Hashkafa Kollel had an inspirational hit last week. Twenty talmidim took a deep dive into the fascinating subject of olam haba. Discussions focused on why, on the one hand, we do not emphasize olam haba and yet it is a life altering concept, why the Chumash does not explicitly discuss olam haba and brief descriptions in the Gemara of Gan Eden and Gehenom. The conversations were scintillating and enriching. Rabbi Jachter remarked that when he looks at TABC talmidim, he feels he is looking at the future of the Jewish people. Throughout the years those who attended these shiurim have grown into community rabbis and leaders. We have no doubt that the excellent group who joined us this week will continue along the same admirable path.
