As part of spreading the light to others, the middle school students of Academies @ GBDS welcomed Smile on Seniors group from Chabad of Passaic County during Chanukah. The morning was filled with STEM activities and competitive educational games. The connection between the students and seniors was instantaneous and everyone enjoyed the stories and laughter shared. The eighth grade students led menorah lighting ceremony with each candle being dedicated to an inspirational leader of their choice. The morning concluded with a joint lunch where the students and continued spending special time together. This morning was only one part of the chesed efforts that Academies @ GBDS students are participating in this year.
