Linking Northern and Central NJ, Bronx, Manhattan, Westchester and CT

It has been more than a week since the dramatic shift in life as we know it, and yet so much has transpired in this short time. RYNJ initiated a platform for distance learning, expanded it with live Zoom classes, developed concrete daily schedules to help set structure for students’ days, and exchanged ideas for non-academic activities. Everything has taken on a different look—learning, davening, work, home life and even time itself. But RYNJ remains positive in the face of these obstacles; optimistic in the face of uncertainty. Everyone continues to rise to the occasion, seeing the opportunities for growth and encouraging one another—as an RYNJ community; as a people.

There is so much to be grateful for: loving families, devoted educators, committed students—everyone seeking goodness and growth together. Students daven and learn apart, but together. Separated, but one.

As RYNJ continues looking forward and upwards, the school wants to thank the students, parents and teachers for their collective dedication towards the cause—maintaining learning and progress as passionate Jews who have a proven track record over the millennium.

The RYNJ rebbeim and teachers have been posting wonderful, extensive and energizing videos and materials and engaging students with their live Zoom classes. Each morning, students find a morning minute message video on their grade-wide Google Classrooms to start their day. This past week, students met together for a mesiba, mishmar and pre-Shabbos ruach, and have started the new week with Sunday learning. The school has initiated the Pesachim Project, announced the continuation of the daily Chofetz Chaim chabura, will be announcing the 15-Day Making Meaning Challenge and look forward to many other such initiatives geared to gather students and families together. And while everyone hopes for a quick return to life as we knew it, RYNJ will continue to press forward with faith in Hashem and commitment to one another.
