Ben Porat Yosef eighth-grade student Odelia Fried won 1st place in the Middle School Art Siegelbaum Literary & Visual Arts Compe­tition for her crea­tive writing piece, “Striped Skin and a Yellow Star Birth­mark.” The competi­tion was sponsored by the Holocaust Museum & Study Center located in Suffern, NY. Mid­dle school students were invited to sub­mit original pieces of creative writing about the theme “See No Evil.” As first prize winner, Odelia received a Kindle Fire HD tablet.
