As the year is coming to an end, the JKHA kindergartners have been reflecting on some of the highlights and important concepts that they have learned this year. One important theme they focused on was the importance of doing mitzvot. Throughout the year there has been either a “Mitzvah Tree” or a “Mitzvah Kotel” hanging in their classrooms. These were filled with mitzvah notes describing mitzvot that each child performed at home or in school. The students enjoyed painting their own version of a mitzvah tree or Kotel and adding on their mitzvah notes from the year. The kindergartners will surely continue doing many mitzvot as they move on to first grade.
