For our summer reading book, the fifth graders read the novel “Toliver’s Secret.” The climax of the story was when the main character smuggled a secret message across enemy lines during the Revolutionary War. On Friday, the fifth graders baked challahs with secret New Year messages inside for their classmates The students had lots of fun and are still trying to guess who sent them their secret message!
