Are you ready for some football? No its not Monday night and I am not talking about the National Football League. The Teaneck Junior Soccer League (TJSL) is providing Teaneck residents with the opportunity to learn, play and enjoy the game of soccer. TJSL is a nonprofit, all-volunteer organization founded in 1986 to promote the sport of soccer in Teaneck.

Since its inception, more than 20,000 children ages 4 to 17 have participated in the league with over 800 children playing each year.

TJSL sponsors three programs for Teaneck children:

Fall Soccer: Recreational program for 4 to 15 year old athletes, it runs from late August to mid-November

TOPSoccer: Recreational program for any Teaneck boy or girl, ages 5 to 19, who has a mental or physical disability. The program normally runs during the winter months.

Indoor Soccer: Winter indoor travel soccer program for 6 to 17 years from December to March. Tryouts are required and held each October. Games are on Saturday nights or Sundays at locations across Bergen County.

This fall, they will have 68 teams and over 800 players participating in the league. Our season officially opens the week of September 8th.
