Linking Northern and Central NJ, Bronx, Manhattan, Westchester and CT

MGBL High School Memorial Day weekend action was fast and furious as all teams are jockeying for playoff positioning. Team Chai Lifeline recorded the season’s first 100 point game led by Pacey Jacoby’s 27 points. Duff & Phelps notched their first win of the season as Eitan Pfeiffer returned from the IL with 32 points.

The spotlight game of the weekend takes us to court two, Aamatex Powerwashing vs the Globetrotters. Aamatex Powerwashing took an early lead behind the sharpshooting of Eli Saks and the Ostrin brothers (Alex and Uriel). The Globetrotters closed the gap and finished the half down two on the short side of a 37-39 game. Aamatex Powerwashing went on another run in the second half as Eli Sudwerts heated up, but Avi Proctor turned on beast mode scoring 14 of his game-high 28 points, tying the game at 75 all with 20 seconds to play. Aamatex Powerwashing called timeout and came out of the huddle holding for one shot. As designed, the ball was in the hands of Sudwerts as the clock was winding down. Sudwerts cashed in for the final three of his team-high 26 points as Aamatex Powerwashing wins a thriller 78-75

This weeks top scorer is Akari Therapeutics Plc’s Tzvi Motechin with 39points in their loss to team i-Shine.
