Led by strong early performances by Galil Neuer, of Tenaflysmiles.com, with eight points, and Danielle Beckoff of Cellectar, with six points, the two teams played a close game as the third quarter ended tied 23-23. Things turned for Cellectar Biosciences in the final two periods as Samantha Pruzansky took over the game on both sides of the court scoring 14 points in the final two periods, and 25 points total, along with several steals and blocks. Ultimately, Dr Saul Lejtman – TenaflySmiles.com could not overcome this late surge and they were defeated by Cellectar Biosciences by a final score of 49-35.
In the final game of the weekend, Sharsheret took on Carter Wealth Management Group (CWMG). Despite getting into early foul trouble, Nechama Adler helped Sharsheret get out to 31-15 lead by the middle of the third period. By the start of the fourth period, CWMG started to close the gap as the deficit shrunk to single digits. Strong second half performances by Shifra Prager and Leah Abrahams brought CWMG to within one point with under a minute to play. As time was ticking away, Prager found herself with the ball and a wide open look from beyond the arc with just seconds left to play. Prager hit the 3 pointer, completing the comeback and giving CWMG a 46-44 unforgettable victory.
