Friday, May 3—The visiting JEC Thunder got off to a quick lead over the TABC Storm with a solo homer in the top of the first. When the Storm came to bat in the bottom of the inning, they matched the run and added one more. It was a back and forth game until the home team came to bat in the bottom of the fourth with the game tied 3-3. TABC scored five runs in the fourth and another three runs in the fifth to create a nice lead. The final score was 11-6 and was a good win for the TABC Storm.

Sunday, May 5—The 1-2 TABC Storm traveled crosstown to face the local rival Frisch Cougars to play in the most anticipated game on their schedules. It was a low scoring game with terrific fielding by both squads. With the score tied 2-2, Ari Fuchs hit a deep triple to center field and was then knocked in to put the Storm up 3-2. The Cougars then tied on a fielder’s choice, sending the game into extra innings. With one out in the bottom of the eighth, Frisch rallied. They hit back to back singles and then a walk to load the bases. The outfield was in, ready to make a play at the plate, but fell victim to a deep fly over the left-fielder’s head, to win the game 4-3.

Tuesday, May 7—The Storm took the long trip to Brooklyn for an important game at YDE. A loss by the 1-3 Storm would officially knock them out of playoff contention. TABC rose to the occasion, easily handling their competition with a score of 16-0.
